All-purpose Lightweight Individual Carrying Equipment.
Limited only by your imagination, A.L.I.C.E. is the bike that every rider needs.
A.L.I.C.E. is possibly the ultimate modern adventure bike: whether it’s local gravel-grinding, grand days out or bike-packing; trans-continental, coast-to-coast or divides, A.L.I.C.E. is designed and equipped for it all.
Overnight, overland and maybe even over-ambitious: A.L.I.C.E. will take you on the adventure that you want.
“…looking for adventure in whatever comes our way……like a true nature’s child, we were born, born to be wild.”
Reliable, tough and calmly confident, she’s your trustworthy travelling companion. Uncertainty may always be part of the adventure but never for your bike. Whatever the terrain, from grass-up-the-middle roads to endless singletrack (and everything in between), A.L.I.C.E. will keep you, your kit, and your smile safely in place.
With updated* geometry and a choice of forks, you can build it your way. The frame will fit a 2.4″ 29er MTB tyre and either fork will happily fit a 2.8″, opening up a world of possibilities and adventures well beyond the beaten path.
*Read the numbers and there’s a gamechanger in there that you might miss (or misunderstand): it’s the ‘secret ingredient’ that delivers best in class performance from what we believe is the ultimate, modern rigid adventure bike.
Evolution: A.L.I.C.E. 3.0
Launched at Sea Otter 2016, A.L.I.C.E. has had some subtle but significant updates over the years and is still probably the most versatile adventure bike on planet earth.
- Revised geometry.
- Additional mounting points.
- Dropper post compatibility.
- Flat and post mount brake solutions.
- Custom carbon fork option.
These changes have been more evolution than revolution, that is, until now…
Revolution: the game-changer!
Trail.
A.L.I.C.E. 3.0 has new custom fork options with short offsets to generate high trail figures. This delivers phenomenal stability at high speeds, and responsive steering at low speeds. It also delivers ‘self-correcting’ or ‘auto-centreing’ steering so when the trail gets bumpy, rutted or gnarly, you can be confident the bike will work with you, not against you.
With a frame head angle of 69° and fork offsets of 42mm (carbon) and 49mm (CrMo), the trail figures are 96mm and 88mm respectively, based on 29er wheels and 2.0″ (51mm) tyres.
These characteristics create a best in class ‘drop bar mountain bike’ that’s manoeuvrable, playful and fun as a no-kit/bare bike. The high trail also delivers best in class performance when carrying your bikepacking kit: confident steering, stability under load, and supreme capability on almost every kind of surface…we’ll leave sand and snow to the fat bikes.
