The eagerly awaited Pipedream R853 29er frames will be arriving in February and to avoid the usual chaos and avoid disappointment, we’re taking pre-orders so you can reserve the frame colour and size of your choice.

So why buy one of these lovely new frames?

Apart from the fact that 29ers are all the rage at the moment and very much in vogue, our  Skookum 29er R853 has a number of nice features that you won’t find on many other steel hardtails……

Just like our flagship 26er frame, the Sirius, the Skookum has sliding dropouts so you can easily run it with an Alfine or Rohloff geared hub or even as singlespeed, and all without the need for a chain tensioning device.

Should you decide you would like to try using a Gates Carbon Belt Drive with your singlespeed, Alfine or Rohloff setup, the Skookum also has a coupling on the drive side seat-stay so you can fit the belt.

Again like our award winning Sirius frame, the Skookum has a tapered head tube so it can take a tapered-steerer fork. We can supply a headset  for an additional £60.00 (and an adaptor, if necessary, for 1 1/8 steerers) .
