Cycling has always been a passion and a virtual obsession.

Some of our most memorable rides have been the trails of Vancouver and Colorado, S.E. Asia and of course, the natural wonders and man-made creations of Scotland, Wales and England (to name just a few). The Étape du Tour deserves a mention too (yes we ride road!). It's the same passion which gets us out on those cold wet Welsh mornings that drives us to create some of the best riding frames out there.

The first real bikes we owned were steel and it's had an indelible impression on us. The bikes that probably had the most impact (and we've had the priviledge to ride or own) are the Bontrager Privateer, the early steel Konas, the GT Zaskar and the original Cove Stiffee and Hummer. You can add a custom road bike to that list also. Our experiences have significantly shaped our ideas of what a bike should be and influenced us in our design. Furthermore, we've finally found an outlet for our engineering experience that's fun!

There's the office/workshop, the factory and the trail: these are the places where our ideas are born, thrashed out, refined and ultimately realised. Ideas become scribbles, scibbles become sketches and ultimately become CAD drawings/models. Patience is then required as the builders get to work and the process of frame-building begins. To finally unpack our frames and clamp them into a stand has to be one of the most satifying feelings, especially knowing that in just hours we're going to be out on the trails.
Add to that the pleasure of knowing there's other Pipedream riders all over the world and we're stoked.

Founded in 2004, it's always been our goal to be a personable and approachable bike company and operate with integrity and sincerity. We're a small team and at times this means we're overwhelmed but on the whole we're on top of things and genuine in our ambition to serve you and provide you with the best.
